Episode 19: Issgard, Land of Snow Flowers takes you to the frozen northern continent of Issgard, where the serpent god Jormungandr was sealed long ago. Following the events of Episode 18, you'll journey with allies old and new to investigate the Illusion organization's activities and search for the Fragment of Ymir's Heart.

Overview

Issgard is a land of eternal ice and snow, protected by a magical barrier that keeps the Rgans - former followers of Jormungandr - imprisoned within. The Ice Castle serves as the headquarters of the guardians who maintain this seal, led by Leon Petit and staffed by the giant bird-like Iwins.

Your mission involves tracking Bagot and the Illusion organization, who seek to exploit the power sealed in this frozen land. Working with Lehar of the Gaebolg family, Miriam, Maram, and the Secret Wings agent Lazy, you'll uncover the secrets of Jormungandr's curse and the true nature of the barrier.

Part 1: News from Ellie

Starting Location: Grey Wolf Village (wolfvill 223, 83)

1. Speak with Grey Wolf Villager who mentions Maram is looking for you.
2. Maram arrives with news from Ellie (the AI from Varmundt's Mansion).
3. Ellie discovered the route Bagot took - north to where Jormungandr was sealed.
4. Miriam and Suad join the discussion.
5. Learn the destination: Issgard, the Land of Ice.
   • "Ellie went to north where Bagot passed through, it's the place where Jormungandr was sealed."
   • Quest Received: Journey to Issgard

Part 2: The Gaebolg Connection

1. Travel to Varmundt's Mansion (ba_in01).
2. Learn about the Gaebolg family and their curse from Jormungandr.
3. The Gaebogs have extensive knowledge about Jormungandr and Issgard.
   • "The Gaebolgs are the most related thing to Jormungandr in the continent of Midgard."
   • "It is told that the members of the Gaebolg family were traveling back and forth to Isgard before."

Part 3: Royal Permission

1. Travel to Prontera Castle to meet with royalty.
2. Meet Lehar - a member of the Gaebolg family raised in a monastery.
3. Obtain permission and an invitation to visit the Ice Castle.
4. Lehar will serve as your guide to Issgard.
   • "I'm Lehar, the one who'll guide you to Isgard."
   • Quest Received: Prepare for Departure

Part 4: Airship to Issgard

1. Return to Varmundt's Mansion and meet Crux.
2. Board the Varmundt Airship with your party:
   • Lehar (guide)
   • Miriam (Grey Wolf Village)
   • Maram (Grey Wolf Village)
   • Lazy (Secret Wings agent)
3. Meet Navigator Ginger - the airship's automatic doll pilot.
4. Give the Ice Castle invitation to Ginger to cross the barrier.
   • Quest Received: Cross the Barrier

Part 5: Journey to the Frozen Land

1. Rest during the airship flight.
2. Learn about Issgard from Lehar:
   • "It's a frozen land. It's a place full of snow, ice, and glaciers everywhere."
   • The Rgans have dramatically increased in number recently.
3. The airship lands near the Ice Castle (jor_tail).
   • Quest Received: Reach the Ice Castle

Part 6: Ice Castle Arrival

1. Meet Iwin Soldiers who patrol the area.
2. Lehar introduces your party to the guardians.
3. Enter the Ice Castle (icas_in).
4. Meet Leon Petit - Guardian of the Ice Castle.
   • "I am Leon from the Petit family. I am playing the role of the guardian of this Ice Castle."

Part 7: Understanding the Barrier

1. Leon explains the situation:
   • Jormungandr is sealed here, along with the Rgans.
   • "The barrier is not to seal Jormungandr. It is a huge prison that prevents the Rgans from leaving this land."
   • The Illusions may have colluded with the Rgans.
2. Meet Aurelie - researcher studying Rgan mana.
3. Learn about the Iwins - giant bird guardians.
   • "Iwins was a bird by nature."
   • Rewards: ~119,000,000 Base EXP, 7,000,000 Job EXP

Part 8: Iwin Patrol

1. Join the Iwin patrol to learn the geography.
2. Enter the Iwin Patrol instance.
3. Monitor Rgan activity outside the barrier.

Part 9: Rgan Infiltration

1. Discover a way to infiltrate the Rgan base.
2. Use Rgan Transformation Scroll to disguise yourself.
   • "When else would you have a chance to turn into a Rgan?"
3. Investigate the Rgan Nest (jor_nest).
   • Daily quests unlocked at Rgan Nest

Part 10: Airship Destruction

1. The Illusion organization attacks!
2. Enter the Airship Destruction instance.
3. Defend the airship from enemy forces.
   • Instance: Airship Destruction (unlocked at ep19_main = 33)

Part 11: Bagot's Laboratory

1. Track Bagot to his hidden laboratory.
2. Enter the Bagot Laboratory instance (1@jorlab).
3. Confront Bagot and uncover his plans.
4. Learn the truth about the Fragment of Ymir's Heart.

Part 12: Final Confrontation

1. Complete the main storyline (ep19_main = 100).
2. Unlock remaining daily and side quests.
3. Receive Snow Flower petals as rewards.
