Socket Enchant

Socket Enchanting is a service that adds card slots to equipment that either has no slots or has fewer slots than possible. This allows you to customize previously non-slottable equipment with cards.

Overview

Socket Enchanting:

  • Adds card slots to eligible equipment
  • Requires specific materials depending on the item
  • Has a chance of failure which destroys the item
  • Is performed by NPCs in specific locations

โš ๏ธ Warning: Socket Enchanting can fail and destroy your equipment. Make sure you understand the risks before attempting!

How It Works

  1. Find the Socket Enchant NPC
  2. Select the equipment you want to socket
  3. Provide the required materials and zeny
  4. The NPC attempts to add a slot

Tips for Socket Enchanting

๐Ÿ’ก Tip:

  • Check the success rate first โ€” Don't socket items with low rates unless you can afford to lose them
  • Farm backup items โ€” If possible, have multiple copies of items you want to socket
  • Calculate value โ€” Is the slotted version worth more than the failure risk?
  • Consider alternatives โ€” Sometimes buying a pre-slotted item is cheaper than risking socket enchanting
  • Stock materials โ€” Farm materials in bulk to save time

Alternative: Buying Slotted Equipment

Many items already drop with slots from monsters:

  • Main Gauche [4] drops from various monsters
  • Buckler [1] drops from multiple sources
  • Check the Item Database for drop locations

โ„น๏ธ Note: Sometimes it's more cost-effective to farm or buy a pre-slotted item than to risk socket enchanting!

Special Socket Services

Some special NPCs may offer:

  • 100% success socketing for special currencies or event tokens
  • Multiple slot addition in a single attempt
  • Unique item socketing not available elsewhere

Check event announcements and special NPCs for these opportunities.
