Creating a Homunculus

Requirements

  1. Be an Alchemist or higher class in that line
  2. Learn the skill Call Homunculus (requires Pharmacy)
  3. Obtain an Embryo (created via the Pharmacy skill)

Embryo Creation

Use the Pharmacy skill to create an Embryo. Required materials:

Stats

Homunculi have their own stats that grow as they level:

Vaporizing

You can return your homunculus to its dormant state using Vaporize:

  • Auto-Vaporize: When your HP falls below 80%, your homunculus automatically vaporizes
  • Manual Vaporize: Use the skill anytime to store your homunculus
  • WoE Restriction: Homunculi are NOT disabled during War of Emperium on HymnRO

πŸ’‘ Tip: Vaporizing preserves your homunculus's current state including HP, intimacy, and hunger.

Combat Settings

On HymnRO, homunculi have the following combat behavior:

Targeting Cannot be targeted by support skills (except from master)
Aggro Mobs prioritize homunculus over player until attacked
Speed Copies master's speed on spawn/map change
Critical Display Shows LUK/3+1 instead of actual crit rate
MATK Min-MATK equals Max-MATK

Autoloot

Homunculus kills can trigger autoloot for their master.

ℹ️ Note: If you're idle, homunculus kills won't give you items or EXP. Stay active!

Idle Prevention

To prevent AFK homunculus farming:

  • Idle characters won't receive EXP or items from homunculus kills
  • Idle detection includes: walking, skill use, item use, attacking, and NPC interaction
  • Simply commanding your homunculus does not reset idle timer

  • Enable Auto-Feed immediately after summoning
  • Level your homunculus alongside your own leveling for efficiency
  • Reach Loyal intimacy before attempting evolution
  • Use commands to control your homunculus in battle (Alt+T opens the command window)
  • Don't die! Your death can hurt your homunculus's intimacy
  • Stay active β€” Idle characters don't benefit from homunculus kills
