    • Episode 14.3: Flame Basin

    Dimensional Travel Quest

    This quest unlocks access to the Flame Basin (moro_vol) map.

    Part 1: The Piled Rags

    1. In Morocc (morocc 138, 238), you'll find a Piled Rags NPC that looks like a pile of dirty rags.
    2. Select "Remove it." to investigate.
    3. A moan is heard underneath - select "Shake the rags."
    4. The mysterious person needs food - he asks for Monster's Feed.

    Part 2: Feeding Tamarin

    1. Obtain 1x 528.png Monster's Feed (#528) (dropped by various monsters or buy from Pet Groomer).
    2. Return to the Piled Rags (morocc 138, 238).
    3. Select "Give Monster's Feed." - he'll eat it despite the taste.
    4. The man introduces himself as Tamarin, an adventurer who got separated from his party.
    5. He asks if you know a place to wash up - select "Tell him the place."
    6. He mentions the oasis near the northwestern sphinx - he'll head there to clean up.
    7. Select "Accompany him." to continue the quest.

    Part 3: Tamarin's Story

    1. Meet Tamarin at the oasis in Moc Ruins (moc_ruins 106, 140).
    2. He offers to tell you about the strange place he visited - select "I'm listening."
    3. Tamarin shares his story:
      • He and his party went to explore the Other World
      • He got separated and ended up in a strange burning land
      • He saw strange entities that looked somewhat human
      • He jumped through a Dimensional Crack to escape back to Morocc
    4. After his story, select "Tell him you want to tag along." to continue.
    5. He tells you to meet him at the Dimensional Crack.

    Part 4: The Hidden Crack

    1. Travel to the Dimensional Crack entrance (dali 112, 69) and speak to Tamarin.
    2. He says he's hidden the opening - it's somewhere on the 2nd floor, covered with dirt.
    3. Go to Dimensional Crack 2F (dali02 90, 62) and find the Sand Mound.
    4. Speak to Tamarin, who appears and clears the dirt.
    5. Select "Enter." to travel through the narrow passage.
    6. You arrive at the Flame Basin (moro_vol 136, 135).

    Part 5: Arrival at Flame Basin

    1. Speak to Tamarin (moro_vol 132, 140) who is amazed by all the people already here.
    2. Barget Tiblack interrupts - apparently you need permission to be here!
    3. Complete the specimen collection tasks to gain official access.
    4. Once complete, you can freely use the Interdimensional Device in Eclage (ecl_in01 38, 98) to travel to Flame Basin.

    Main Quest

    Demon God Subjugation

    Requirements: Dimensional Travel Quest complete, Base Level 140+

    1. At the Flame Basin expedition camp, speak to Commander Hibba Agip (moro_vol 107, 93).
    2. He explains that the Temple of the Demon God has been discovered inside a cave in the central hill.
    3. Hibba Agip asks you to join the subjugation mission - select "I'll do it."
    4. He explains that Morocc hasn't fully recovered from his seal being broken - now is the perfect time to strike.
      • Quest Received: Demon God Subjugation

    Temple of the Demon God Instance

    Requirements: Demon God Subjugation quest active, Party required

    Instance Details:

    • Cooldown: Daily
    • Party Size: Must be in a party (1-12 players)
    • Time Limit: 4 hours

    Entering the Instance

    1. Travel to Moro Cave (moro_cav) - the cave entrance is in the central hill of Flame Basin.
    2. Speak to Guardian Nidhogg (moro_cav 41, 73).
      • If not in a party: "This place is too dangerous for you to explore alone. Please form a party and come with your comrades."
      • If not party leader: "Only party leaders can control access to the Temple of the Demon God."
    3. As party leader, Nidhogg will explain about the Yggdrasil lookalike tree blocking the temple entrance.
    4. Select "Enter now." to create the instance.
    5. Click on the Yggdrasil Lookalike tree (moro_cav 45, 75) and select "Enter." to enter the instance.

    Inside the Temple

    1. Navigate through the temple, defeating demons along the way.
    2. Progress through the dungeon until you reach Demon God Morocc.
    3. Defeat Morocc to complete the subjugation.

    Completing the Quest

    1. After defeating Morocc, Nidhogg appears and congratulates you.
    2. She gives you approval for the quest completion.
      • Quest Complete: Demon God Subjugation
      • Quest Received: Fall of the False God
    3. Exit the instance and return to Commander Hibba Agip (moro_vol 107, 93).
    4. Report your success:
    5. Hibba Agip notices something ominous around you - the Soul Shard!
    6. He tells you to take it to Guardian Nidhogg at the Laphine camp.

    Soul Shard Exchange

    1. Speak to Guardian Nidhogg (moro_vol 94, 110) while holding the Soul Shard.
    2. She recognizes it as a shard of Morocc's soul.
    3. Select "Give the Soul Shard." to exchange it.
      • Server Announcement: "Nidhogg: May Yggdrasil bless the Demon God slayers [YourName] and others."
      • Server Bonus: 10% EXP rate increase for 1 hour!

    Daily Quests

    Collecting Mana

    NPC: Magic Scholar Avant (moro_vol 98, 107)

    Requirements: Base Level 140+, Eliminating Risks quest active

    Walkthrough:

    1. Speak to Avant - he explains that Reincarnations drop Mana Crystallines.
    2. Hunt Distorted, Blazing, and Freezing Reincarnations in the Temple of the Demon God.
    3. Collect 3x 6708.png Mana Crystalline (#6708).
    4. Return to Avant and turn in the crystallines.

    Rewards: 350,000 Base EXP, 350,000 Job EXP

    Cooldown: Daily

    Wandering Orb Magic

    NPC: Commander Hishieh (moro_vol 95, 108)

    Requirements: Collecting Mana quest completed

    Walkthrough:

    1. Speak to Hishieh - he asks you to recover stray mana from the orb inside the Temple.
    2. Enter the Temple of the Demon God instance.
    3. Find and disperse the wandering mana globes:
      • 3x Brilliant Mana
      • 3x Life Mana
      • 3x Earth Mana
    4. Return to Hishieh.

    Rewards: 1,000,000 Base EXP, 500,000 Job EXP, 22567.png Squad Prize (#22567)

    Cooldown: Daily

    Frost Spider and Fire Wolf

    NPC: Adjutant Abidal (moro_vol 110, 90)

    Requirements: Demon God Subjugation quest active

    Walkthrough:

    1. Speak to Abidal - he reports dangerous creatures in the Temple.
    2. Enter the Temple of the Demon God instance.
    3. Hunt and defeat:
      • Brinaranea (Frost Spider)
      • Muspellskoll (Fire Wolf)
    4. Return to Abidal.

    Rewards: EXP, 22567.png Squad Prize (#22567)

    Tips

    • Complete the Dimensional Travel Quest first to unlock access to Flame Basin.
    • Bring Fire resistance - Most field monsters are Fire element.
    • Party up for the instance - Temple of the Demon God requires a party to enter.
    • Hunt Reincarnations for Mana Crystallines needed for daily quests.
    • Exchange the Soul Shard with Nidhogg after defeating Morocc for a server-wide 10% EXP buff!
