    Episode 16.1: Banquet of Heroes celebrates the heroes who returned from the expedition against Demon God Morocc. You are invited as a special guest to witness the royal succession ritual and become embroiled in palace intrigue.

    Overview

    The Royal Palace of Prontera is hosting a grand banquet to celebrate the subjugation of Morocc and honor the returning heroes. More importantly, the banquet coincides with the Royal Assembly to determine the heir to the throne of Rune-Midgarts.

    As a renowned adventurer, you've been invited as an official observer to witness the secret Ritual of Blessing that will crown the new king. However, nothing in the palace is as simple as it seems, and you'll find yourself navigating political intrigue among the Seven Royal Families.

    Main Quest

    Part 1: Invitation to the Royal Banquet

    Requirements: Base Level 100+, New World Access completed

    Starting NPC: Royal Messenger (Prontera 121, 72 and other cities)

    1. Speak with a Royal Messenger in any major city.
    2. The messenger recognizes you from a montage - you're one of the heroes from the Morocc expedition.
    3. He explains the palace is hosting a Banquet for the returning heroes from Vacuum.
    4. You've been invited as a special guest - receive the Banquet Invitation item.
    5. Choose to:
      • "I'll go on my own." - Travel to Prontera Palace manually
      • "I'll go right away." - Teleport directly to palace entrance (Prontera 156, 327)
      • Quest Received: Invitation to Royal Banquet

    Part 2: Arriving at the Palace

    1. At Prontera Castle, the Royal Guard greets you as a hero.
    2. Enter the palace and Chamberlain Bell (prt_cas 217, 150) appears.
    3. He introduces himself as Bell Twilight - call him "Belle".
    4. Follow Belle through the corridors:
      • Go upstairs and take the far left corridor
      • Enter the first room on the left (royal villa)
    5. Belle explains your role:
      • The banquet celebrates the Morocc subjugation
      • More importantly, the Royal Assembly will determine the heir to the throne
      • A secret Ritual of Blessing will crown the new king
      • You've been invited as an official observer to this ritual

    Part 3: Socializing with the Royal Families

    Requirements: Arrived at the Royal Villa

    1. Speak with Chamberlain Belle (prt_cas_q 26, 30) in your guestroom.
    2. Learn about the seven royal families staying in the villa:
      • West Villa (where you are): Heine, Nerius, Walther
      • East Villa (across the corridor): Wigner, Richard, Geoborg, Roegenburg
    3. You must visit and greet all seven families before the banquet.
    4. Start with the Heine family nearby.

    Part 4: The Banquet and Palace Intrigue

    1. Belle tells you the Nerius family has invited you to the Banquet Hall.
    2. On your way to the Banquet Hall (prt_cas 177, 164), you overhear a suspicious conversation:
      • A Mysterious Guest and Chamberlain discuss secret arrangements
      • Something about "the heir to the throne" and "calling him here without doubt"
      • Quest Received: Suspicious Movement
    3. Proceed to the Banquet Hall and find Spica and Skia Nerius.
    4. Nyhill M. Heine arrives and interacts with the group.
    5. Witness various family dynamics and conflicts.
    6. After the banquet events, return to your room and wait.

    Part 5: The Ritual of Blessing

    1. Court Mage Nillem arrives at your guestroom.
    2. He's excited to meet you and explains he'll teleport you to the Room of Consciousness.
    3. Nillem counts down: "Three! Two! One!" and teleports you to prt_lib (89, 44).
      • Quest Received: Attend the Ritual

    Inside the Room of Consciousness:

    1. Form a party (required for the instance).
    2. Speak with Mage Nillem (prt_lib 91, 85) to create the instance.
    3. Enter the Room of Consciousness portal.
    4. Witness the Ritual of Blessing ceremony.
    5. Events unfold that dramatically change the kingdom's fate...

    ⚠️ Warning: This is a story-critical instance. Pay close attention to the dialogue and events!

    Part 6: Aftermath and Investigation

    After the ritual's shocking events:

    1. Exit the Room of Consciousness and speak with the NPCs.
    2. Nillem notices magical distortion similar to a Crack of Dimension.
    3. Visit Lindt the Librarian (prt_lib 76, 80) to view royal records.
    4. Report your findings to the Heine family.
    5. Friedrich S. Heine asks for your continued help investigating.
    6. You gain access to explore the Past Memories of the Royal Family.

    Part 7: Continuing the Investigation

    1. Speak with Court Mage Nillem in your guestroom (prt_cas_q 28, 28).
    2. He gives you a "Million Nillem Call Ticket" - you can call him anytime via Belle.
    3. Access the Past Memories of the Royal Family to investigate the distortion.
    4. Complete daily investigations to gather clues.

    House Heine

    Location: West Villa - First room (prt_cas_q)

    Key Members:

    • Friedrich S. Heine (prt_cas_q 21, 83) - Family patriarch, gives daily quests after story completion

    Story Role: The Nerius twins invite you to the banquet and provide lighter moments amid the political tension. Known as the family "led by a woman."

    • Ian Walther (prt_cas_q 20, 184) - Family representative

    Story Role: The Walther family has been excluded from the Royal Assembly due to a past incident where Isenarm (a former throne candidate) was killed by Ernst Geoborg after acting violently.

    Story Role: Ernst Geoborg and the Guardian Knight are the only ones who know what truly happened during the Isenarm incident. Ernst is difficult to meet due to his duties.

    Description: Witness the royal succession ritual. This is a story-focused instance where you observe the ceremony that will crown the new king. Dramatic events unfold that change the course of the kingdom.

    Walkthrough:

    1. Form a party (you must be party leader).
    2. Speak with Mage Nillem to create the instance.
    3. Click the Room of Consciousness portal (prt_lib 88, 90) to enter.
    4. Watch the ceremony and respond to dialogue prompts.
    5. Complete the story sequence.

    Room of Consciousness (Daily)

    3. Navigate through the memories and defeat Valkyrie.
    4. Retrieve the piece of Ymir Heart.

    Requirements: Episode 16.1 story completion (ep16_royal >= 24)

    Cooldown: Daily

    Walkthrough:

    1. Speak to Friedrich and select "Yes" when asked if you're going to the Past Memories.
    2. He asks you to save the piece of Ymir Heart from Valkyrie.
    3. Visit Court Mage Nillem to enter the Past Memories of the Royal Family.
    4. Navigate through and defeat Valkyrie.
    5. Return to Friedrich.

    ℹ️ Note: Friedrich mentions that even though changing the past seems impossible, they must try everything. While you explore the memories, the family investigates the intruders.

    Royal Kitchen Quests

    Help the Royal Head Chef prepare for the ongoing banquets.

    Griffin Barbecue

    NPC: Royal Head Chef (Prontera Castle Kitchen)

    Objective: Help prepare grilled griffin meat for the banquet.

    Walkthrough:

    1. Speak to the Royal Head Chef.
    2. Hunt Griffin monsters to obtain griffin meat.
    3. Return the meat to the chef.

    Unexpected Sauce / Ingredient for the Sauce

    NPC: Royal Head Chef (Prontera Castle Kitchen)

    Objective: Create special sauces and gather ingredients for banquet dishes.

    Walkthrough:

    1. Speak to the Royal Head Chef about sauce preparation.
    2. Gather the required ingredients from monsters or NPCs.
    3. Return to complete the sauce.

    Washing Dishes / Dish Collecting

    NPC: Royal Head Chef (Prontera Castle Kitchen)

    Objective: Help with kitchen cleanup - wash dishes or collect used dishes from the banquet hall.

    2. Washing Dishes: Interact with the sink area and clean 15 dishes.
    3. Dish Collecting: Walk through the banquet area and click on used dishes to collect them.
    4. Return to the chef when finished.
