Octopus Cave is a Malangdo instance where players hunt down the notorious "Pervert Octopus" who has been harassing the local starfish population. This humorous instance features the comically villainous octopus who constantly taunts players while spawning minions to defend his lair.
Overview
The peaceful starfish of Malangdo Dungeon have been terrorized by a lecherous octopus who keeps trying to kidnap their females. The Starfish guard has set up a blockade at the cave entrance and recruits adventurers to eliminate this menace once and for all.
The instance is known for its comedic dialogue, with the Disgusting Octopus making increasingly desperate and absurd excuses as you fight through his cave. Despite the light tone, the boss fight requires attention to mechanics as the octopus summons waves of minions.

How to Access
- Travel to Malangdo Dungeon (mal_dun01).
- Find the Starfish NPC at coordinates (151, 235).
- Obtain a Hunting Stick rental item (available from Malangdo NPCs).
- As party leader, speak to the Starfish and request to enter.
- Use the Weird Entrance at (153, 237) to enter the instance.
Instance Walkthrough
Stage 1: The Four Legs
Upon entering, the Disgusting Octopus taunts you:
- Four Octopus Legs block four different paths in the cave.
- Each leg is located at:
- (20, 114) - Northwest
- (88, 190) - North
- (307, 215) - Northeast
- (372, 131) - East
- Defeat all four Octopus Legs to open the path to the boss.
- As you destroy each leg, the octopus cries out in pain.
Stage 2: Ambushes
While hunting the legs, you'll trigger ambushes:
- Octopus's Henchmen spawn in groups
- Mercenary Squids appear (hired by the octopus)
- The octopus provides comedic commentary on his failing defenses
Stage 3: Boss Fight
After destroying all four legs, the boss arena opens:
- All players are warped to the center.
- The Disgusting Octopus spawns at (199, 188).
- Throughout the fight, the boss:
- Spawns additional Octopus Legs
- Summons Octopus's Henchmen (5 at a time)
- Delivers increasingly desperate dialogue

Boss Mechanics
The Disgusting Octopus fight has several mechanics:
