Episode 20: The Immortal continues the Isgard saga, taking adventurers deep into the heart of Jormungand territory. After the events of Episode 19, the path forward leads through treacherous ice canyons, the sacred sanctuary of the Rgan people, and a labyrinth coiled around the World Tree itself.

The Rgan are a mysterious race who worship Lasgand, an immortal being they believe to be a descendant of Jormungand. As you explore their sanctuary and earn their trust, you'll uncover the truth behind Lasgand's immortality and the dark power that sustains him.

Your journey culminates at the Nest of Twigs, where the Branches of the World Tree serve as a gateway to Lasgand's domain. There, you'll face the Immortal himself — and discover the true nature of the white cat called Nyar.

Main Quest Walkthrough

Part 1: The Search Begins

Step 1: Talk to Horr

Speak with Horr at icecastle (27, 126). He tells you about the research to find the entrance to the snake's lair. Unable to find it, he's decided to expand the search radius and needs an adventurer team. The other adventurers are waiting in the Ice Castle.

Step 2: Meet the Team

Go to icas_in (261, 197) and talk to Leon. He explains that the Rgans could be located in the Ancient Ice Gorge, a place where an ancient icewind race lives. The team decides to join the search together.

Step 3: Ancient Ice Gorge

Travel to jor_back5 (353, 73) and talk to Lehar. He takes you to a safer place to talk.

Inside the safe place, talk to Lehar again. An Ancient Icewind appears and attacks Horr! Lehar decides to flee to another location at jor_safty1 (64, 328).

Step 4: Following the Trails

Talk to Lehar again. After wondering why the ancient icewinds are so aggressive, Horr recognizes trails from Iwins. Looking deeper, there are Rgan trails as well. The team decides to search for more signs at jor_safty1 (195, 327).

Step 5: Miriam's Discovery

At jor_back5 (355, 352), Miriam is waiting for you and warps you to another safe place at jor_safty1 (328, 324). She tells everyone that she found a frozen Rgan who was attacked by ancient icewinds.

Lehar found some kind of machine near the Rgan which the Rgan tried to install there. After taking the evidence, Lazy suggests returning to the Ice Castle to decide what to do next.

Part 2: Investigation

Step 6: Back at Ice Castle

Return to icas_in (258, 192) where the team is waiting. After explaining what you found, Leon decides to give the evidence to Vellugunde to determine the device's purpose.

While Vellugunde investigates, Horr appears next to you wanting to speak in private.

Step 7: Secret Investigation

Walk north and talk to Horr at icas_in (259, 219). He found a Rgan corpse with footprints and feather traces belonging to Iwins. He asks you to secretly investigate whether anyone is missing from the Ice Castle.

Step 8: Investigating the Castle

Go outside and north of the barracks at icas_in (109, 38) — talk to Torr. He confirms no one is missing and all Iwins are loyally defending the castle.

Walk west to the first house in the north. Find a suspicious shiny spot in the back alleys at icecastle (209, 237). You find traces of something that came in but never left.

Talk to Charr at icecastle (67, 222). Everyone in the neighborhood is still present.

Step 9: Report to Horr

Return to Horr at icas_in (259, 219) and choose: "Nothing much..."

After explaining your findings, Horr gets a bad feeling. Vellugunde appears to share the investigation results.

Step 10: The Mana Absorber

Talk to Vellugunde at icas_in (141, 216). He discovered the device from jorback is a mana absorber that collects and stores mana. The team suspects Bagot created this magic item.

Part 3: Canyon Exploration Instance

Step 11: Prepare the Instance

Leave the castle. Lehar is waiting in front of the entrance. Create a one-person party and talk to him to enter the Canyon Exploration instance.

Step 12: Inside the Canyon

Talk to Lehar inside. He tells you to go a little further to 3 o'clock from your position into your search area.

You'll find 2 Iwins. Talk to the left one. While wondering why they're patrolling here, they suddenly attack you and warp you to another map!

Step 13: Traitors Revealed

Talk to Lehar again. He was attacked too. You realize there are traitors among the Iwins. Lehar tells you to be quiet — he can hear something.

You overhear Bagot and Lasgand talking about their plans to turn Lasgand into a god, break the barrier, and take over Rune Midgard.

Bagot appears and says he'll use you as an offering for his experiment. After he disappears, a mysterious White Cat appears and helps you escape.

Step 14: Escape

Talk to Lehar. You find Bagot with a mysterious man and listen to their conversation until they leave. The Cat moves, and you decide to follow it.

Follow the navigation and talk to Lehar. You see Rgan's who learned to transform into Iwins — just like your team transforms into Rgans. Lehar decides it's time to escape.

After talking to the Cat, you hear the Rgans discovered your escape. Follow the Cat, which helps you with some kind of magic ability.

Step 15: The Snake Nest Door

Talk to Lehar, who is grateful to the Cat. You see a door from the Snake Nest and decide to open it to escape.

After entering the portal, Lasgand and Bagot appear discussing your escape. They felt the magic power but don't know its source. Lasgand decides to leave the door open as bait.

You are teleported back to the Ice Castle.

Part 4: Infiltration Planning

Step 16: Reunion

Head to icas_in (259, 194) and talk to Miriam, who gathers everyone.

Talk to Lazy. After explaining that Rgans can transform into Iwins, Leon suggests infiltrating the Nest to gather more information. Horr tells you to find Oriryo Trooper who can help identify the fake Iwins.

Step 17: The Password System

Find Oriryo Trooper at icas_in (100, 55). He doesn't trust adventurers at first but explains that the operation against the Rgans was successful. He knows about Rgan infiltrators in the Ice Castle.

He suggests establishing a password system to distinguish fake Iwins. Accept by saying: "I'll suggest it. I'll gladly do it."

Part 5: Into the Snake's Nest

Step 18: Enter the Nest

Use the Warper > Dungeons > Snake's Nest. Follow the navigation to jor_nest (37, 266).

Talk to Lazy, who proudly calls the group an elite team. He tries to open the door with the others. After many attempts, talk to Horr who is embarrassed about how it went.

You can now enter, but you need to be transformed into a Rgan using Rgan Transformation Scroll (#101162).

Step 19: The Rgan Shaman

You'll be warped to jor_root1. Talk to the Rgan Shaman who tries to kill you.

Kill Quest:

5x Great Rgan Shaman (jor_root1)
5x Jormungand Church Shaman (jor_root2)

After killing them, find a hidden portal at the top right of jor_root2 at (234, 248).

Step 20: Finding the Entrance

Inside, talk to Lazy. Lehar appears, having found the entrance. Lazy enters alone first since he's the highest rank Rgan.

Step 21: Lazy's Disguise

Talk to Miriam. Lazy appears suddenly, reporting he was instantly attacked by high-rank Rgans.

A Shaman appears, and Lazy suggests using his identity to get in and out. Talk to Horr, then proceed to the top of the map.

Part 6: The Separated Sanctuary

Step 22: First Contact

At jor_sanct (155, 85), a Rgan is waiting. Lazy convinces him you returned from a long patrol.

He asks for help collecting 3x Snake Strawberry (#1001154).

Go back one map and find the Callout places (plus signs on the minimap) to collect them.

Step 23: The Devices

Return to the Rgan at jor_sanct (155, 85) and deliver the berries.

Talk to the next Rgan at jor_sanct (178, 125). He explains what the devices do and that they transform into Iwins to walk freely outside and install devices everywhere.

You receive Horsepower Recovery Device (#1001218).

Step 24: Gathering Information

Talk to the Rgan on the left. He says he already did all the work but gives no information about other humans.

After he disappears, Lazy and the others appear. No one knows where Lasgand and his right-hand man are, so everyone decides to roam around and speak to more Rgans.

Step 25: Talk to All NPCs

Eriligand: Tells you Lasgand brought everyone so he can consume them all — that everyone who is "Lasgand's Children" belongs to Lasgand.

Dialog choices:

"That's an exaggeration."
"I'm not sure what you mean."

Holesybigand: Talks about his loyalty to Lasgand and wanting to become his right arm, shield, and axe.

He asks you to hunt 30x Copo's Head Feather (#1001246).

Dialog choices:

"I believe."
"Indeed."
"Pretend to be curious."

Gomiagand: Tells you about the past when Lasgand did all the work, but now fewer Shamans are born.

Dialog choices:

"Answer."
First option: "yes."
"I think so too."
"Tap Gamiravagand's shoulder."

Pamosugand: Tells you about silence training and Lasgand's research.

He asks for 20x Large Grey Feather (#1001244) (Quest: "Example of Silent Answer").

After delivering them, talk to Dorily Logand next to him.

Step 26: Helping the Intermediate Rgans

Find a group of Intermediate Rgans who aren't working. They ask you to find work for them.

Dialog choices:

"Talk to them."
"Tasks for intermediate Rgan."
"Cleaning."
"I'll look for tasks."

Walk left and talk to Tower at jor_sanct (92, 139). Call Numkasaigargand — he's grateful to work again.

Walk further left and talk to the Puddle. Call Narsioramigand — he's happy for new work.

Step 27: Quest "I Came All the Way Here"

Complete the quest using Alt+U to open the quest log. You must be transformed!

Step 28: Sarekgand's Secret

Return to the sanctuary and talk to Sarekgand at jor_sanct (153, 171). He's surprised how many Bishops you've helped and wants you to follow him for special work.

Step 29: Cleaning Duty

Talk to the Supervisor at jor_sanct (26, 280). He's angry about an unknown Rgan priest appearing. After talking with Sarekgand, he explains Lasgand will pass by soon and the path needs to be clean.

Kill Quest:

Enter the portal at the top, kill them, and return.

Part 7: The Maze

Step 30: Enter the Maze

Enter the maze and follow the navigation to jor_maze (15, 39). You get teleported.

Talk to Miriam, who wonders why Lasgand goes this way and why guardians protect against everyone. She'll stay to gather more information.

Step 31: Second Location

Search for the next location at jor_maze (19, 146). You get teleported again.

Talk to Lehar. Suddenly Rgans appear and separate you from him.

Step 32: Drift Ice Zone Instance

Leave the map and search for the Shaky Wall at jor_maze (142, 63). This starts the Drift Ice Zone instance.

Inside:

Talk to Rgan Bishop who wants you to leave. Kill the Heart Hunters and Guardians.
Talk to Rgan Shaman who checks your identity and attacks. Kill them and proceed.
Talk to Rgan Bishop again about Lasgand's ritual. Kill everything and continue.
Talk to Lehar who wants to meet you. You feel a strong magic power.
Continue walking and killing until you reach Sarekgandh.

Step 33: Confronting Bagot

Bagot explains why he left the door open and asks where Lehar is. He orders Heart Hunters to capture you.

Defeat all enemies, then talk to him again. Bagot asks who helped you escape.

Shamans appear — defeat them all.

Talk to Bagot again. The Cat appears and teleports everyone away!

Step 34: Escape

Talk to Lehar. The Cat teleported him away. Follow the Cat into the portal.

Outside, Lehar is grateful for the Cat's help.

Part 8: The White Cat's Identity

Step 35: Return to Ice Castle

Walk back to Ice Castle and talk to Lehar at icas_in (227, 260). The team was worried about your disappearance.

After mentioning the White Cat, the others think it's a joke. But after explaining, Aurelie suggests the Cat could be Jormungandr herself. Leon wants to see where the Cat was spotted.

Step 36: Feeding the Dive Iwin

Leave the castle and find Dive Iwin at icecastle (140, 197). He needs a special meal to transport everyone to the drift ice zone.

Step 37: Feather Protection

Next, hunt:

After delivering the items, the Dive Iwin warps you to a safe place, then to the next area to search for the Cat.

Part 9: The Nest of Twigs

Step 38: Following Leon

Follow the path until you reach Leon at jor_twice (238, 323). He feels the power of Jormungandr but says you need to check the other side.

Find Leon again at jor_twice (159, 239). They explain that Jormungandr's main body is nearly depleted of magic — you must find the Cat before the Rgans do.

After Leon disappears, talk to Lehar to open the Nest of Twigs instance.

Step 39: Inside the Nest

Talk to Lehar inside the castle. He points at traces of the others, and you begin searching.

Follow him and kill the monsters. Repeat talking and killing until you reach the Cat.

Leon and Aurelie explain this place is the center of Isgard, where a World Tree grows. If the Rgans destroy it, the barrier around Isgard breaks and Lasgand escapes to attack Midgard.

Step 40: Exit the Nest

Talk to Lehar to warp out.

Step 41: Meeting Nyar

In the safe place, talk to Aurelie. She explains what you found and why defending this place is critical.

Lazy suggests calling Jormungandr "Nyar" for easier pronunciation.

You're warped back to the field with orders to hunt 5x Elite Rgan Warlock.

Step 42: Planning the Defense

After hunting them, visit Aurelie at jor_twice (157, 237). They plan to destroy the maze entrance so Rgans can't enter the drift ice zone.

Part 10: Gathering Intelligence

Step 43: Enter the Maze (Transformed)

Leave the map on the bottom left at jor_twice (43, 55). You need Rgan Transformation Scroll (#101162) from here on!

Talk to Lehar at the entrance. The atmosphere feels odd, so you decide to see what the Rgans think.

Step 44: Gathering Rumors

Complete three quests:

Gathering Rumors Among Jormungands 1 — jor_maze (45, 241) Talk to Hoton Lokengand. They're trying to find Jormungandr first to receive her blessing.

Gathering Rumors Among Jormungands 2 — jor_maze (154, 235) Talk to Naaryugand. They ask how Jormungandr looks — they only get information from Lasgand.

Gathering Rumors Among Jormungands 3 — jor_maze (277, 184) Talk to Hanaungand. They discuss Jormungandr's appearance, believing she must be a Rgan creature and the root of all Rgans.

Step 45: Deeper Intelligence

After talking to all NPCs, Miriam waits at jor_maze (148, 28). You share information and decide to go deeper.

Step 46: The Encounter

Navigate through the maze to find Miriam again at jor_maze (198, 44). She teleports you to a safe area.

Inside, talk to Miriam until the White Cat appears. With the Cat, some Rgans and Lasgand appear — they sense Jormungandr's magic! The Cat teleports you out.

Talk to the Cat outside. You're surprised to see no one. After the Cat disappears, Lazy appears and suggests returning to the Ice Castle.

Part 11: The Final Push

Step 47: The Truth About Rgans

Return to Ice Castle and talk to Leon at icas_in (110, 222). He and Aurelie reveal that Rgans are parasites feeding on Jormungandr's magic.

They explain how Lasgand absorbs her power to grow stronger. They decide Lasgand must fall quickly.

Step 48: Finding Bagot's Laboratory

Use the Warper > Dungeons > Snake's Nest. Go to the top left where the door is.

Walk to the marker that warps you to Lehar. They're trying to find Bagot's Laboratory. Investigate 3 more markers.

Step 49: The Sanctuary Prayer

After clicking all markers, go to jor_sanct (140, 80) and talk to another marker. You must be transformed!

Step 50: Lasgand's Prayer

Talk to the Bishop at the top of the map. They're praying to Lasgand, who's trying to capture the Cat.

More Rgans appear, eager to break free and travel to Midgard. After talking, Nyar appears and teleports you out.

Part 12: Confronting Lasgand

Step 51: Following Nyar

Talk to the White Cat. She called you for a reason. After feeling a powerful clash of energy, follow the path to jor_twig (175, 118).

Walk to the next White Cat and talk to her. Bagot was here all along. After capturing him, he shows no regret — only pride in creating a new god.

Step 52: The Sealing

Continue to jor_twig (134, 155) and talk to the White Cat.

Lasgand reached the Cat and tried to absorb her power, but she sent him into a separate dimension. You learn he absorbed the Ymir Heart Fragment's power.

You must go to the sanctuary where Lasgand is and defeat him to separate that power.

Talk to Aurelie to open the instance.

❗ Important: At the Cat NPC jor_twig (144, 155), players who already completed this step can join to help others (supporters, undergeared players)!

Part 13: Separated Sanctuary Instance

Step 53: The Final Battle

Inside the Separated Sanctuary instance, talk to Aurelie and Lasgand to begin the fight.

Defeat Lasgand!

Step 54: Victory

After the fight, talk to Aurelie. You receive:

Corrupted Heart Fragment of Ymir (#1001254)

Talk to Aurelie to leave the instance.

Part 14: Aftermath

Step 55: The Aftermath

Outside, talk to Aurelie. She explains Lasgand can't truly be killed while the Geoborg Family exists. The White Cat suppresses his powers for now.

Talk to Aurelie again to warp to Ice Castle.

Step 56: Final Reports

Move to icas_in2 (248, 112) and talk to Voglinde.

Bagot is satisfied that he created a god, even if Lasgand is sealed. The team splits up:

Lazy takes Bagot back to Schwarzvalt
Maram and Miriam return the Ymir Fragment to Rachel
Leon and Aurelie help Nyar strengthen the seal
Voglinde continues hunting Rgans

This side quest follows the story of Rorohu, a young Iwin, and Friederike. It can be started without completing the Episode 20 main quest — only Episode 19 completion and Level 215 are required.

Quest Walkthrough

Deliver the Box — Bring the box to Friederike. You'll meet her and the little Iwins including Rorohu and Tataring.

Send the Children Home — Help send the little Iwins back to their homes before it gets too late.

Find Rorohu — Rorohu goes missing. Talk to Iwin Courier and Friederike to begin searching.

Search the Ice Castle — Check various locations in the Ice Castle looking for Rorohu:
- Talk to NPCs at icas_in (113, 38)
- Search around the castle grounds

The Canyon Iwins — Learn about the Iwins who live in the northern canyon, separate from the Ice Castle Iwins.

Following Cocopo — During your search, you encounter Cocopo, a young creature connected to the story.

jor_back4 Investigation — Travel to jor_back4 and search for clues:
