Faceworm's Nest is a challenging instance where players delve into an underground nest to battle the Faceworm Queen. The instance features complex boss mechanics including element-changing phases, egg destruction, and coordination with NPC allies. It's known for dropping the coveted Temporal Boots.

Overview

Deep beneath the surface, a massive faceworm queen has built her nest. Magic scholars have discovered a dimensional crack leading to this nest and seek adventurers brave enough to exterminate the threat. The Faceworm Queen is highly intelligent and can change her elemental attribute during battle.

The instance also features several side quests involving lost items that belonged to people who fell victim to the faceworms.

Instance Walkthrough

Phase 1: Nest Entrance

1. Enter the nest and meet Chaos and Iris, NPC allies.
2. They provide guidance throughout the instance.
3. Clear initial faceworm monsters to progress.

Phase 2: Egg Destruction

1. Navigate through the nest destroying Faceworm Eggs.
2. Unbroken eggs can heal the Faceworm Queen during the boss fight.
3. Clear all eggs in each section before moving forward.

Phase 3: Mini-Boss Encounters

1. Face several Faceworm variants as you progress:
   •

     Faceworm (#2529) (different variant)
2. Clear the path to the Queen's chamber.

Phase 4: Faceworm Queen

The Faceworm Queen (ID: 2532) is a complex boss with multiple mechanics:

Element Changing

The Queen can shed her skin to change elemental attributes:

"Faceworm Queen is trying to shed its skin to [element] attribute."

Poison Sacks

The Queen drops poison sacks that heal her if not destroyed:
