Episode Quests are the main story quests in Ragnarok Online, unlocking new areas, features, and content as you progress through the game's narrative.

HymnRO features content from Episode 14.3 through Episode 21 (Age of Heroes). Each episode introduces new maps, monsters, equipment, and storylines.

Level Requirement: 100+

Location: Flame Basin, Dimensional areas

Story: Face the aftermath of dimensional disturbances and encounter Guardian Nidhogg.

Episode 15.1 and 15.2: Phantasmagorika

Level Requirement: 140+

Locations: Juperos, Phantasmagorika ruins

Story: Rekenber Corporation recruits adventurers to excavate newly discovered ancient ruins in Juperos.

Quest Lines:

Episode 16: Banquet of Heroes / Terra Gloria

Level Requirement: 100+ (with New World access)

Locations: Prontera, Royal Palace

Story: The Royal Palace hosts a banquet celebrating the heroes who helped defeat Morocc. Political intrigue unfolds.

Quest Lines:

Prerequisites: Must have New World access (Onward to the New World Quest or Cat Paw Agent Quest)

Episode 17.1: Illusion / 17.2: Sage's Legacy

Level Requirement: 150+

Locations: Various Illusion Dungeons

Story: Reality becomes distorted as illusions of classic dungeons appear with enhanced dangers. Nihil's storyline unfolds.

Episode 18: Direction of Prayer

Level Requirement: 170+

Locations: Arunafeltz, Rachel

Story: Return to Arunafeltz to uncover divisions within the religious society and conflicts between migrants and natives.

Unlocks:

• New Arunafeltz content
• Episode 18 equipment
• Grey Wolf Village access

Episode 19: Issgard, Land of Snow Flowers

Level Requirement: 180+

Locations: Issgard

Story: Journey to the frozen land of Issgard and discover its secrets.

Unlocks:

• Issgard region maps
• Episode 19 equipment
• New instances

Episode 20: The Immortal

Level Requirement: 190+

Locations: Infinite Space, dimensional areas

Story: The boundaries between dimensions continue to weaken.

Unlocks:

• Infinite Space content
• Episode 20 instances
• Advanced enchant systems

Episode 21: Age of Heroes

Level Requirement: 230+

Locations: Alberta (past), Lunaforma

Prerequisites: Complete "Undying" quest from Episode 20

Story: Travel to the past with Mage Nilem to investigate dimensional rift symptoms on a remote island in Eisgarn, leading to a confrontation with the Yormungandr sect. Set during the era before Rune-Midgard's establishment.

Unlocks:

• Yormungandr's Temple
• "Final Battle" memorial dungeon
• "Memory Fragment" memorial dungeon
• Gaebolg and Yorscalp equipment

Starting Episode Quests

Most episode quests start in one of these ways:

1. NPC in town - Look for NPCs with quest markers
2. Eden Group - Some episodes start through Eden
3. Auto-navigation - Use @navi to find quest NPCs
4. Level notification - System messages when you reach required level

Quest Tracking

• Press Alt+U to open the Quest Log
• Active quests show objectives and progress
• Completed quests are stored in the log
• Use @quest command for quick status

Episode Quest Tips

• Follow the story - Cutscenes provide important context
• Don't skip dialogue - NPCs give hints for puzzles
• Prepare for battles - Boss fights are common
• Bring supplies - Long quest chains may require healing items
• Party up - Some quest battles are easier in groups
